By now, I'm sure you've all at least heard of Sam Worthington, one of the stars you will be seeing in James Cameron's upcoming 3D spectacle "Avatar." Worthington starred in a couple of things here and there, but his most recent big role was Marcus Wright in "Terminator Salvation." Yeah, that guy!
Now that the first footage from "Avatar" is out there, the folks @ComingSoon recently asked Worthington to comment on the trailer. He said the following about some responses being not all too awesome:
"I read all what was said yesterday about the trailer. I can see their point, but as I said, it's not meant to be built for an Apple Mac, it's built for IMAX, it's built for 3D, that's what he's designed it for. He's designed it to bring people back to the cinema. It's interesting that he's released that trailer and the next day, he shows it on IMAX."
Fair enough. Worthington also praised Cameron and said it was a pleasure working with him on the project:
"He's the boss and he'll have final say, but he'll tell you, 'Gimme what you've got' and the first thing I've said to him is 'I've got nothing to lose, man, I'll give you everything.' So I threw everything at him, every idea, and he'll whittle it down to get what he wants, but that's your job, to offer and offer and offer."
Worthington also commented on "Terminator Salvation," and you can read that and more of what he said here. By the way, Worthington has plenty of projects in the making, including "Last Night" and "Clash of the Titans." "Avatar" opens Dec. 18, 2009.
