Elizabeth Banks joins 'The Next Three Days'

Elizabeth Banks is set to join Russell Crowe in Paul Haggis' upcoming drama "The Next Three Days," based on Fred Cavayé's 2008 French film "Pour Elle."
Crowe will play a teacher who attempts to help his wife after she's arrested an convicted of a murder she claims she never commit. The Hollywood Reporter says Banks will play the female lead.
On the big screen, Banks most recently starred in the horror flick "The Uninvited," a film I simply couldn't stand. She delivered a much more refreshing job in "Role Models" last year. Other recent credits of hers include "W." and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."
Banks also got some stuff lined up, including "Forever 21" and "The Details," Jacob Aaron Estes' upcoming comedy with Tobey Maguire, Ray Liotta, Dennis Haysbert and Anna Friel.
