Bekmambetov to bring back Jolie for 'Wanted 2'

Angwlina Jolie in Wanted

The chance of Angelina Jolie's character Fox returning in "Wanted 2" is getting more and more likely. At the recent Comic-Con, "Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov said he may have an idea how to bring back Jolie for the sequel, but at that stage, it all sounded more like a rumor than a fixed plan.

If you haven't seen "Wanted" but plan to watch it in the near future, I would advise you to stop reading, as a spoiler will follow. When talking to MTV recently, Bekmambetov said he now knows how he could bring Fox back from the dead. As you may remember, she took a bullet at the end of the first flick.

"If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax," Bekmambetov told MTV. "We know how to do this, but it's still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head."

He continued, "But there has to be a reason for her to come back... and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back."

This kind of confirms what he said at Comic-Con. Of course, I don't know whether Jolie will want to return for a sequel herself. Bekmambetov also said the film could be heading into production in a couple of months. Head to MTV for more.

I loved Wanted even though the story had some confusing parts. Just what was the Loom of Destiny anyway? I hope they find a logical way to bring her back. I'm dubious.

If Fox will return, Angelina Jolie will return. That'd be stupid to bring the character back without her.

In such a case, they'd create a new character for a new actress, instead. This would avoid comparisons with Jolie and would made the script simpler.

In any way, such effort to bring Jolie back means they want a huge movie again and I'm glad for that, since Wanted 2 without Jolie would be a flop.
