'Avatar' trailer lands online, looks extravagant
![]()
While thousands of people will be heading to theaters tomorrow to see an extended preview of James Cameron's upcoming 3D spectacle "Avatar," a regular trailer has already debuted online. It gives you a first good look at what to expect visually (without the 3D effect, of course), and you can check it out below.
"Avatar" takes cinemagoers to a spectacular new world beyond their imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption, discovery and unexpected love, as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization. Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Rodriguez and Zoe Saldana star.
I'm not among those heading to "Avatar Day" tomorrow because I don't want to see extended footage before seeing the entire thing, but what I can say is that I'm getting pretty excited about this. To be very honest, this preview didn't necessarily blow me away, but then again, I saw it on the small screen and without the 3D.
I can say this though: it sure looks epic, and it sure looks extravagant. Some of this looks a bit silly in terms of CGI, but all in all, it gives off a quite spectacular vibe. "Avatar" hits theaters Dec. 18, 2009. Leave your comments below.

The trailer looks cool james cameron has done it again and it looks extravagant emotional story by jim .The CGI in the back ground does look skull island in king kong a part from that the creatures do look real and believeable like gollum .Every body is saying shit but i will watch it in imax 3d it's my favorite movie of the year.I feel the buzz but not revolutionary but evolutionary in sense of CGI.So far i am sold like others who liked it.
I have to say that this movie will be good in 3d if you watch it in 3d but it still looks cool in 2d also thats's great news .I know people online are this not what i excepted it looks like cartoonish but lower your exceptation you will get a good and emotional movie in 3d i can gurantee you that.
