Neil LaBute will adapt 'Burnt Orange Heresy'

Neil LaBute's recent directing credits include "The Wicker Man," which counts as one of the worst films ever made in my book, and "Lakeview Terrace," a somewhat engaging thriller that worked reasonably well. One of LaBute's upcoming projects is the adaptation of Charles Willeford's crime novel "The Burnt Orange Heresy."

Variety has the plot details for you:

"Willeford's novel, set in Palm Beach, centers on a corrupt art critic's attempts to finagle an interview with a legendary but reclusive French painter."

Neil LaBute's next film will be "Death at a Funeral," the remake of Frank Oz’s 2007 comedy “Death at a Funeral." That one is set to open April 16, 2009. Tracy Morgan, Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock star.
