'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' begins filming

Lots of "Twilight" news today. First, we found out about dates and venues for the upcoming "Twilight" convention tour, and from Summit Entertainment now comes word production on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" has officially kicked off in Vancouver.

The third film in the series is directed by "30 Days of Night's" David Slade, and it will see the return of Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Joining the cast this time are Bryce Dallas Howard, Xavier Samuel, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Jack Hustong, Julia Jones, BooBoo Stewart, and Jodelle Ferland.

In "Eclipse,"Bella is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Melissa Rosenberg penned the script, as usual. The release of "Eclipse" is set for Wednesday, June 30, 2010. As for "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," it will hit theaters Nov. 20, 2009. Following is a cast list for "Eclipse":
