Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas join 'Red Dawn' cast

The "Red Dawn" remake is still recruiting, and the latest to join MGM's upcoming Dan Bradley-directed film are Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge.
Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki are also on board, and last thing I heard even Kurt Russell was attached to star in the remake of the John Milius' 1984 action flick.
Written by Carl Ellsworth, the new "Red Dawn," a group of teenagers form an alliance to defend their town after Chinese and Russian soliders invade their town.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hutcherson, who starred in "Bridge to Terabithia," will play the gang's tech expert. Lucas ("Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen") is set to play a cheerleader.
As for Cruise (yep, Tom's son, who starred in "Seven Pounds"), he's set to play the mayor's son, while Hodge ("Mental") will star as the coolest kid in school.
Watch for the "Red Dawn" remake in theaters Sept. 24, 2010. To tell you the truth, I'm not at all excited about this one.
