Tomas Alfredson to direct John Le Carre adaptation

Sweden's Tomas Alfredson is set to direct Working Title's upcoming John Le Carre big-screen adaptation "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy."

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Peter Morgan ("Frost/Nixon") wrote the screenplay, which centers on a retired British intelligence officer asked to return to the job and find out whether the agency has been infiltrated by a Russian spy.

Alfredson's recently directed the horror flick "Låt den rätte komma in" (Let the Right One In), which received worldwide critical acclaim. An English remake is already in early developmental stages.

Dang, I still haven't seen the flick. I know, shame on me, but I will catch up, I promise.
