Big news for "Twilight" fans: Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will replace Rachelle Lefevre in the role of Victoria in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
Lefevre played the character in the first film and will reprise the role in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," but scheduling conflicts force her to pass on "Eclipse."
David Slade will direct "Eclipse," based on the third "Twilight" book by Stephenie Meyer. Melissa Rosenberg wrote the script for the sequel, which will hit theaters June 30, 2010.
“Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character," said Summit's Erik Feig. "The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”
Howard was last seen in "Terminator Salvation." Some of her other credits include "Spider-Man 3" and "Lady in the Water."
So, Twilighters... is this good news? Or are you sad to see Rachelle leave? Sound off below.

i am so happy, i am fan of bryce dallas howard and only for her i would see eclipse
I'm sad that Rachelle LeFevre is leaving the Twilight saga, but like all movie series...actor consistency is difficult. Nevertheless, I am interested to see what Bryce Dallas Howard will do as Victoria. She is a good actress, and she does look the part, much like Rachelle.
Summit Entertainment made the wrong choice by firing Rachelle. No one could ever replace her, Bryce Dallas Howard does not even look like Rachelle. Hopefully the twilight saga: Eclipse, will be ok sense Rachelle will not be attending.
its going to ruin the movie series by changing actress'! It's going to be weird pretending she's Victoria because Rachelle was perfect! I'm so sad to see her go and I've never even heard of this new chick! No offense to her but no one will ever be able to replace her
