David Cronenberg to adapt 'Cosmopolis'

I'm quite excited every time I read something about David Cronenberg, primarily because I've enjoyed so many of his films. "Eastern Promises," his most recent flick, for instance, just blew me away.

Cronenberg is now planning to develop and direct the big-screen adaptation of Don DeLillo's novel "Cosmopolis" with producer Paulo Branco, this according to Variety.

The book, released in 2003, follows a young multimillionaire on a 24-hour odyssey across Manhattan. Toronto and New York have been picked as shooting locations.

Cronenberg also recently talked about developing a sequel to "Eastern Promises." He was also recently circling the adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s political thriller "The Matarese Circle."
