Freddy Krueger is back in action in Samuel Bayer's upcoming remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street," and IGN has posted a new poster and new still from the horror flick, which will hit theaters April 16, 2010.
If the photo above doesn't scare you enough, check out the nasty glove in the one-sheet below. Jackie Earle Haley, who recently played Rorschach in Zack Snyder's "Watchmen," stars as Krueger, the famous killer who slips into the dreams of teenagers.
Kellan Lutz, Rooney Mara and Kyle Gallner co-star in the flick. I don't know about you, but this is one of those countless remakes I really couldn't care less about. As far as I'm concerned, they should've left Freddy in peace, but then again, who cares what I think, right?
On the other hand, you simply got to love Haley. This guy is a dab hand at playing weirdos, and I admit I still think his role in "Little Children" is one of the freakiest I've seen in a long time. If anybody's a good fit for this role, it's Haley for sure.

I hate remakes to the core but for some weird reason, I have a good feeling about this one....
You know what? These remakes recently have been pretty good. Yes I think Hollywood has lost its originality, but the remakes arent that bad.
Friday The 13th-Great Remake, I think the new explanations with trap doors, and Jason actually running-Great Reimagining!
Last House On The Left- We couldve done without this one, but I am glad they kept out the oral castration this time. I hate scenes like that....why must the audience suffer? And overall the acting was great.
Halloween-One question for Rob Zombie....WHY? Stick with Devils Rejects and 100 corpses type of stuff, Michael Myers was too big of a leap for you!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre-Again Michael Bay hit the nail on the head. This Movie was awesome awesome awesome. Actually scary.
Now the Hills have eyes and the omen, these were CRAP, total crap.
I have high hopes and expectations for Nightmare though. Jackie Earle Haley is creepy without makeup, and he is an awesome actor Great Pothead Hippy in Semi-Pro, great as Rorshack in Watchmen. This man is really very good. I am looking forward to his portrayal of the finger knife weilding crispy villain. Way to go Michael Bay, I think you shouldve remade this one First!!!
