Jason Statham is grabbing the 'Blitz'

Jason Statham

Actor Jason Statham is in talks to star in Elliott Lester's upcoming London-based thriller "Blitz," Variety reported Sunday.

The action star is set to play a tough cop assigned to track down a serial killer who targets police officers. Paddy Considine is on-board to play his parnter.

Nathan Parker, who also wrote "Moon," penned the script based on Ken Bruen's bestseller. Lester's credits include "Love Is the Drug."

Statham's been a busy guy. He starred in "The Bank Job," "Transpoter 3," "Death Race" and "Crank: High Voltage" recently, and he's got "13," "The Expendables" and "The Mechanic" coming up soon. Yeah, he's the right guy for this, don't you think?

Dear Sirs/ Madames,
As you probably know Jason was in London on 20th of August 2009 in Queensway near Hyde Park Hotel to shoot for his new film "Blitz".
Me and my friend were "passing by" and it "happened" for us to see HIM talk to HIM and even take a picture with HIM.
It was a moment in a milion and I felt realy exited.
By the way he looks "hot" in his "work" cloths.
For anyone who want's to meet Jason I wish you the very best luck cos' it worth your time.
I am very happy! I realy hope to see him again.
P.S. Good luck Jason with your new "Blitz" because you deserve it all!
Kisses from Emanuela and Alexandra :-x ;-))
