Five films that absolutely sucked this year

I know 2009 is far from over, but I've already seen pleeeeeeenty of terrible movies this year. Here is a list of five films I recently saw but really couldn't stand. In other words, these flicks totally wasted my time. Feel free to share your movie suckers down below.

5. FIRED UP!
Yes, this is that lame movie about two guys going to cheer camp to hook up with chicks, and yes, it is as terrible as it sounds. Stupid characters, painful dialogue and jokes that simply don't work are all over this flick, which is pretty much as absurd as filmmaking can get. Wait, calling it filmmaking is a mistake in the first place. I'm just going to call it big-screen trash. Yes, that sounds about right. More about this one here.

4. STREET FIGHTER: THE LEGEND OF CHUN-LI
This one makes it a lot easier for me to love the first flick with Jean-Claude Van Damme. I put this one on the list because it almost bored me to death. Okay, the few fighting scenes are not as awful as the rest, but everything from performances to dialogue in particular is just totally forgettable. And isn't Neal McDonough the worst (and most ridiculous) villain you've ever seen on-screen? Full review here.

3. MISS MARCH
Trust me, I'll be coming back to this one when it's time to compile my list of 10 worst films of the year. Essentially, "Miss March" follows two morons traveling to the Playboy mansion to find one of the guys' ex-girlfriend. Alas, the road trip they embark on is one terrifyingly bad and boring experience, complete with embarrassingly disgusting jokes and absolutely noooooo laughs. But hey, at least you get a gorgeous woman unlocking a door with her tongue. Enough said... or not?

2. OBSESSED
I've gotten a bunch of hate mail because I wrote a very negative review about "Obsessed," but I'm sure those comments came from die-hard Beyonce fans who don't have anything better to do than endorse every single thing she does. Anyway, this thriller is certainly among the dumbest I have ever seen, and it really doesn't take much brain to figure out why the whole thing is so flawed. The film's got no suspense or logic at all. More here.

1. PINK PANTHER 2
Now, why did they make a second one? Wasn't the first one torture enough? At least for me, it was, and this sequel certainly sucked as well. Steve Martin is definitely a talented actor, but films like this one don't exactly make him shine. In a nutshell, "Pink Panther 2" currently holds the title of worst of the worst films of the year so far. It will be interesting to see if it can keep the crown until the end of the year. More here.

These almost made the cut: LAND OF THE LOST (unnecessary remake), DRAGONBALL: EVOLUTION (terrible adaptation), THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT (good horror this is not), THE UNINVITED (uninvited to the big screen, yes), THE UNBORN (wish it never saw the day), INKHEART (another terrible adaptation), MY LIFE IN RUINS (what ever happened to the fun of that Greek wedding?)

Please feel free to share your worst of the worst below.
