'Revenge of the Fallen' picks up $162M overseas

Michael Bay's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" topped the international box office this weekend with a stunning $162 million in ticket sales. The film's overseas total currently stands at $181.6 million.
Despite a superb launch on the international circuit, "Fallen" failed to break the $251.1 million opening week run of "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End." Domestically, the sequel to "Transformers" brought in $201.2 million after a five-day run.
At No. 2, "Terminator Salvation" picked up another $10.4 million, reaching a total haul of $220 million. Following in third place with $10.1 million was "The Hangover," which lifted its overseas cume to $46.2 million.
Meanwhile, Anne Fletcher's "The Proposal" took home $7.2 million for a cumulative gross of $22.7 million. Finishing fifth this weekend was "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian," which reached $202.3 million after earnings of $5.2 million.
Other results from the overseas box office: "Angels & Demons" reached a cume of $337.5 million; "Up" scored $4.7 million for a total gross of $47.1 million; "State of Play" earned $4.3 million; and "Year One" pulled $2.4 million.

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen was a fun film, it was Awesome. Lots of action and funny moments
(some i think were a tad overdone) I think the critics just don't get it, the film is about alien robots from the planet Siebertron whose war has come to earth and can Transform into cars, planes etc. The film was alot of fun, I mean thats what most summer movie goers want, a popcorn flick, and Revenge of the Fallen is exactly that. it's not Titanic or Gone with the Wind, it's not supposed to be. as far as the so-called racial stereotypes of Mudflap and Skids, puh-leeze, there is nothing racially offensive about either one of these two characters. It's funny how the lame PC people pop up here and there and attack people, movies etc when there is nothing offensive for them to attack, but when films like White Chicks and the Ladies Man were out, where were the accusations of racism then?? nothing but silence..but they go after two characters that are robots. LAME PC DOUBLE STANDARD. I think I'll go see Revenge of the Fallen at least three more times just to make all the lame critics even more upset about how much money this film is making.
