'Revenge of the Fallen' scores $60M Wednesday

Michael Bay's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" delivered the biggest Wednesday opening with an estimated $60.6 million in ticket sales.
The sequel to "Transformers" already scored $16 million from midnight runs at around 3,000 sites. The film expanded to 4,234 locations Wednesday.
"Revenge of the Fallen" set a new Wednesday opening record, beating previous winner "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," which brought in $44.2 million in 2007. The film is obviously destined for box office greatness.
Other Wednesday box office results: "The Proposal" brought in another $4 million; "The Hangover" followed with $3 million; "Up" collected $2.6 million; and "Year One" took home $1.4 million.
