Universal to develop 'Where's Waldo?' film

Where's

Universal has found Waldo, as the studio and Illumination Entertainment will develop a live-action big-screen version of the popular "Where's Waldo?" books created by Martin Handford. The books include full-page illustrated pictures filled with people and things, and the mission of the reader is to find a hidden character named Waldo. He wears a red and white shirt, a hat and glasses.

The popularity of the "Waldo" publications also generated a television series, as well as a series of videogames. Details on what exactly the film deal with are unknown at this point. My best guess is the film will focus on a bunch of kids trying to find Waldo or something. Anyway, Illumination is also gearing up to develop a 3D animated flick based on Ricky Gervais' series of children's books "Flanimals."
