Bryce Dallas Howard wrote a script entitled "The Originals," and Universal and Imagine will develop the big-screen project with Ron Howard as a possible candidate to direct.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the younger Howard wrote the script with Dane Charbeneau. The two previously collaborated on "Orchids," a short Bryce Dallas Howard also directed.
As far as "The Originals" is concerned, the story centers on a group of young people who meet up in New York after their favorite childhood teacher falls into a mysterious coma.
Howard is currently onscreen in "Terminator Salvation." The actress also starred in "Spider-Man 3," "The Village" and "Lady in the Water."
