Robert Pattinson boards 'Bel Ami' adaptation

Robert Pattinson in Twilight

Robert Pattinson, the star of "Twilight" and the upcoming sequel "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," is set for a big-screen adaptation of Guy de Maupassant's "Bel Ami," according to Variety. Declan Donnellan will direct the project, which chronicles the life and controversial career of Georges Duroy. Shooting, the trade says, is set to start next year.

Pattinson is a busy man these days, as his performance in "Twilight" has helped him land quite a few upcoming projects. One of his future films is "Remember Me," directed by Allen Coulter from a script by Jenny Lumet ("Rachel Getting Married"). He's also got "Unbound Captives" lined up. In related Pattinson news, the actor also recently confirmed a fourth "Twilight" flick.
