Disney releases official image from 'A Christmas Carol'

Walt Disney just released a first official image from Robert Zemeckis' upcoming 3D motion capture adventure "A Christmas Carol." Check out Ebenezer Scrooge in the image above. Scrooge, however, is not the only character Carrey is playing. You'll also see him as Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come.

Also starring in the film are Gary Oldman (he plays Bob Cratchit, Marley and Tiny Tim), Robin Wright Penn and Colin Firth. "Carol" opens in theaters Nov. 6, 2009, and early footage from the film was screened at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18, 2009. Stay tuned for a coming post with pics from the Cannes event.
