Brittany Murphy joins 'The Expendables' cast
Sylvester Stallone's action flick "The Expendables" just got a cute addition, as Brittany Murphy has officially joined Sly, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, and Randy Couture, among others.
Accoring to the Hollywood Reporter, David Zayas ("Dexter," "Michael Clayton") has also joined the project, which is currently shooting. Just the other day I stumbled across some cool set pics, which you can find here.
In the film, a group of mercenaries infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free the population. The trade says Zayas is set for the role of the dictator, while Murphy plays Rourke's girlfriend, a singer.
Murphy, who's built herself quite a large filmography already, starred in "Sin City," "Just Married" and "Uptown Girls." She's also been voicing Luanne Platter on "King of the Hill."
