New entry “Adventureland” debuted only at No. 6, taking home a modest $6 million. Directed by Greg Mottola, the film stars Jesse Eisenberg as a recent college grad who picks up a lame job at a local amusement park.

Tony Gilroy’s comedy “Duplicity” tumbled to No. 7, earning $4.3 million for a cume of $32.3 million. Clive Owen and Julia Roberts star as two spies trying to pull off a gigantic corporate con.

At the bottom of the top 10, “Race to Witch Mountain” slipped to eighth place with a weekend gross of $3.3 million and a total of $58.3 million, while “12 Rounds” picked up $2.3 million for a cumulative of $9 million at No. 9.
