Mark Wahlberg, James Franco have 'Date Night'

The cast for Shawn Levy’s upcoming comedy "Date Night" is looking pretty delicious at the moment, with Mark Wahlberg and James Franco being the latest to join Steve Carell and Tina Fey. According to Variety, Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji P. Henson and the hilarious Kristen Wiig are also on board.

In the film written by Josh Klausner, a married couple (Carell and Fey) discovers their usual date night goes beyond dinner and a movie. Wahlberg plays a securities expert flirting with Fey's character. Franco stars as a dumb criminal. Furthermore, the trade said Wiig plays Fey's best friend, with Common portarying a villain and Henson playing a cop.

Franco, who recently starred in "Milk" and "Nights in Rodanthe," will soon be seen in "Howl" and "Your Highness." Wahlberg has "The Lovely Bones" and "Prisoners" coming up. As for Levy, his "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" will hit theaters May 22, 2009.
