Posters for 'Sherlock Holmes;' 'Shutter Island'

Here are three posters for three films I'm actually looking forward to a lot. The first one is for Guy Ritchie's upcoming "Sherlock Holmes" and first appeared on the Web at LatinoReview.

It's quite a dark shot of lead actor Robert Downey Jr., who stars as Holmes. Jude Law is on board as Watson, Rachel McAdams plays his love interest, and Mark Strong will portray the villain. "Holmes," as the poster indicates, opens Dec. 25, 2009.

The second poster looks like a teaser sheet for Martin Scorcese's "Shutter Island," and it first popped up at RopeOfSilicon. Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Max von Sydow, Patricia Clarkson, Emily Mortimer and Jackie Earle Haley star. The film opens Oct. 2.

Finally, I also stumbled across a new poster for "Planet 51," an animated flick about an alien race living fear of an invasion. Chaos breaks out when a human spacecraft unexpectedly arrives on the idyllic planet. "51" is set to open Nov. 20.
