Kathy Bates goes to 'The Blind Side'
Kathy Bates joins Sandra Bullock in Alcon Entertainment's upcoming football dramatic comedy "The Blind Side."
The film follows Michael Oher, who everyone believes is the one of the first players to be picked in the year's NFL draft. As a teenager, Oher was homeless and found shelter with a wealthy family.
Bullock will play the conservative suburban family's matriarch. According to Variety, Bates is set to play a tutor hired by Bullock's character.
John Lee Hancock, whose credits include "The Rookie" and "The Alamo," wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, which is based on Michael Lewis' "The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game."
Bates rocks, but she's done some things I didn't entirely enjoy, including "The Family That Preys" and "P.S. I Love You." But she did a great job in "Revolutionary Road."
