New 'Star Trek' TV spot looking pretty solid

I've never been a huge "Star Trek" fan, but the latest trailer for J.J. Abrams' upcoming reboot kind of got me excited about this flick.

Today I've stumbled across a new television spot for the flick, and you can check it out after the jump. It's got a bit of new footage and looks pretty neat.

The plot of the movie chronicles the early days of Kirk and his crew on the Enterprise. Chris Pine, Eric Bana, Simon Pegg, Winona Ryder, Zoe Saldana, Kalr Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Bruce Greenwood and Leonard Nimoy star.

"Star Trek" lands in theaters May 8, 2009.
