Justin Long boards New Line's 'Going the Distance'

Justin Long is set to star in New Line Cinema's upcoming romantic comedy “Going the Distance.”

The film focuses on a couple’s attempt to maintain a long-distance relationship. One lives in Chicago while the other is located in Los Angeles.

Nanette Burstein, who recently directed "American Teen" and whose credits also include "The Kid Stays in the Picture," is on board to direct the film.

Newcomer Geoff LaTulippe, who’s been working at New Line for several years, wrote the script.

Long is currently onscreen in "He's Just Not That Into You." He will also soon be seen in Sam Raimi's horror flick "Drag Me to Hell."
