Jackson, Bello, Breslin join 'Rape: A Love Story'
Maria Bello, Abigail Breslin and Samuel L. Jackson are set to star in Harold Becker's upcoming indie drama "Rape: A Love Story."
According to Variety, the project is based on the novella by Joyce Carol Oates. John Mankiewicz, whose credits include "House M.D.," wrote the screenplay.
In the film, Bello plays a mother who is recovering from a ruthless gang rape. Jackson is on board as a good-hearted cop protecting her. Breslin plays as the woman's daughter, who witnessed the brutal attack.
The great Maria Bello was last seen in "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." She will next star in "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee."
As for Jackson, he recently signed a big deal to play Nick Fury in a bunch of upcoming Marvel flicks. Jackson was recently seen in "The Spirit" and "Lakeview Terrace."
Breslin, the star of "Little Miss Sunshine," has a bunch of projects in development, including "Zombieland" and "Rango."
