Five worst films of 2009 (so far)
We're only two months into 2009, and I regret to announce I've already seen tons of bad movies this year. January was a mess, February wasnt exactly better either, and March... well, we'll see.
Below you'll find the five films I hated most this year. Of course, 2009 is far from over, but these are the worst of January/February:

5. INKHEART
I simply had to put "Inkheart" on this list because it's undoubtedly the most boring film I've seen so far this year. I decided to stick around until the end because I hoped the final part of the movie would at least be a tiny bit entertaining, but as it turned out, that was not the case. A slow-moving plot, uninteresting characters and the lack of magic and energy are just a few flaws of this disappointing family adventure.

4. THE UNBORN
Okay, Odette Yustman is hot and walks around a lot in her underwear in "The Unborn," but that certainly doesn't make it a good horror film. For the most part, this film is just plain ridiculius, with the lead character wasting more than 90 minutes seeing and feeling creepy ghosts. Worse than the movie's lack of suspense or intriguing story line is its moronic dialogue, which literally had me laughing out loud a couple of times.

3. THE UNINVITED
This is yet another unnecessary Hollywood remake of a superior Asian horror flick. Cheap shock effects and lame ghosts dominate most of the film's utterly boring plot, which is also quite repetitive (the lead character sees dead people all the time). Suspense does not exist in this flick, the characters are as thin as they can be, and the appearances by Elizabeth Banks and David Strathairn are wasted.

2. FIRED UP!
Ahhhhh, another stupid teenage comedy in which two idiots do the most moronic things to get girls to make out with them. In this sucker, two friends decide to go to cheer camp. I know it sounds terrible, and it certainly is. Fun is not part of the features of this lame comedy, which includes terribly offensive jokes and only one or two halway entertaining cheerleading sequences. "Fired Up!" is an embarrassing experience indeed.

1. THE PINK PANTHER 2
"The Pink Panther 2" is just as much an atrocity as its predecessor. You can hate me as much as you want for saying this, but if you think this is hilarious, I feel sorry for you. Enough said...
And that's it. Feel free to agree or disagree, and let me know what films you despised most so far this year.
