Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman team for 'Baster'
Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman will team up for Mandate Pictures' comedy "The Baster."
Based on Jeffrey Eugenides' short story, the film follows an insecure man who discovers his best friend plans to have an artifical insemination and secretly replaces her donor's semen with his own.
Allan Loeb, whose credits include "21" and "Things We Lost in the Fire," is writing the screenplay. "Blades of Glory" helmers Josh Gordon and Will Speck are set to direct.
As Variety points out, this the second artifical insemination flick we heard about this week. The first one is entitled "Plan B" and will star Jennifer Lopez as a woman meeting her dream guy on the day she's scheduled to have the procedure done.
Aniston is currently onscreen in "He's Just Not That Into You." She most recently starred alongside Owen Wilson in "Marley & Me."
Bateman appears in "Hancock" last year. He will be seen in "State of Play" and "Couples Retreat."
