Ferrell, Wahlberg to play cops in 'B Team'

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg will team up for "The B Team," an action comedy Adam McKay will direct for Sony Pictures.

According to Variety, McKay will team up with Chris Henchy to write the script, which will focus on two cops played by Ferrell and Wahlberg.

Not much is known about the film at this stage, because the project is at the earliest developmental stage (so far, only a pitch exists).

McKay, of course, directed Ferrell in "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and "Step Brothers."

As for Henchy, he recently wrote the screenplay for Ferrell's upcoming adventure comedy "Land of the Lost." He also worked as a co-executive producer on "Entourage."
