Schwarzenegger to appear in Stallone action flick?

This is a rumor alert, so take this with a grain of salt for now.

The folks over at Ain't It Cool News just reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger may deliver a cameo in Sylvester Stallone's upcoming action film "The Expendables."

Here's what AICN has to say: "Just got off the phone with... ahem "my source" ahem... who let me know that Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to be playing Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in THE EXPENDABLES.

He will be shooting for one day, and it seems that the Gov and Sly's character Barney Ross have some history back when the Gov was shooting CONAN THE BARBARIAN!"

Well, it's unconfirmed for now, but it sure sounds cool. In related news/rumors, AICN also said Ben Kingsley will not be appearing in the film. Eric Roberts will replace him, apparently.

Also starring Sly himself, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Randy Couture, the flick follows a group of mercenaries who infiltrate a South American country to overthrow its dictator and free the population.

A release date for "The Expendables" has not yet been set, but the film is expected to head into production very soon.

I’m not sure about this. On one hand, I’m happy with the idea of the two of them hooking up for a movie, and I can’t wait to see what the reader reviewers at EverHype have to say about the movie (add your own music, movie, and game reviews by creating a free account at www.everhype.com/?utm_source=bc) but I’m not sure if it’s a responsible political move. Did Regan do movies once he was president? After?
