William Monahan set for 'Associate' adaptation
Wow, William Monahan is quite the busy guy these days, and he's far from taking a break.
"The Departed" screenwriter is set to adapt John Grisham's "The Associate" for Paramount Pictures, according to Variety.
Last year, Shia LaBeouf already agreed to play the lead character, who's ready to graduate from Yale Law School when he's tricked into a job at a lawfirm where he gets access to crucial information about multibillion-dollar lawsuit.
Now, here's what Monahan is up against in the near future: Apart from making his directorial debut with "London Boulevard," he will also helm the adaptation of Myles Connor's upcoming memoir "The Art of the Heist: Confessions of a Master Thief, Rock-and-Roller and Prodigal Son."
Monahan also recently co-wrote the script for "Edge of Darkness," Martin Campbell's upcoming thriller with Mel Gibson. Monahan also won an Oscar for "The Departed."
Other credits of his include "Body of Lies" and "Kingdom of Heaven."
