New 'Rapunzel' image shows up online

Walt Disney is sending "Rapunzel" to the big screen in 3D in 2010, and a first look at the CGI adventure has hit the Web, courtesy of DisneyPixar.fr. Check out the image scanned from a magazine just above.

Not the most exiting pic, but it sure gives us a clear look at the main character and her awfully long hair. Mandy Moore will voice Rapunzel, and the cast also includes Zachary Levi and Jason Alexander.

In the film, Rapunzel is locked in a hidden tower longing for adventure. Now an imaginative and determined teenager, she takes off on a hilarious, hair-raising escapade with the help of a dashing bandit.

"Rapunzel" will open in limited release November 12, and it wil expand Nov. 24, 2010. This is not a Pixar flick, but then again, I am somewhat excited to see how Disney handled this character and her adventure.
