Brittany Murphy dead at 32

Brittany Murphy, an American actress known for her performances in "Clueless," "8 Mile" and "Sin City," among others, died of cardiac arrest early Sunday in Los Angeles. She was 32.

Details are sketchy at this point, but TMZ reports a 911 call was placed this morning at 8 a.m. from a home belonging to her husband. Murphy was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The story is currently developing. Murphy was featured on "King of the Hill." She also recently starred in "The Dead Girl," "Love and Other Disasters," "Little Black Book," "Just Married" and "Uptown Girls."

Murphy will soon be seen in "The Expendables." She also has "Something Wicked" and "Abandoned" in post-production. Credits also include "Don't Say A Word," "Spun" and "Riding in Cars with Boys."
