Summit to develop 'Alibi' comic adaptation

Summit Entertainment has officially boarded the big-screen adaptation of Top Cow's comicbook "Alibi," which Mandeville has picked up the rights to earlier this year. The studio has also found a writer.
John Hlavin will take a stab at the screenplay. He just recently signed to write "Underworld 4" for Screen Gems. His credits include "The Shield" and "Trust Me," and he's also working on Warner's "Gunslinger."
As far as "Alibi" goes, the story follows a socialite whose status serves as a solid alibi for his twin brother, a government assassin. "Alibi" was created by Matt Hawkins, Michael Renegar and Joshua Hale Fialkov.
Summit, of course, is currently celebrating the success of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon," which has grossed more than $233 million in only two weeks. Summit is also developing "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."
