Natalie Portman seeks love among zombies

Natalie Portman will produce and star in Lionsgate's big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith's book “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” which adds the undead to the classic Jane Austen love story.

The book follows Elizabeth Bennet, who's looking for love in a world taken over by zombies. At first, she sets out to eliminate the undead, but her mission is interrupted by the arrival of Mr. Darcy.

I have read "Pride and Prejudice" but never got around to reading this zombie version, but I sure am already looking forward to seeing Portman go nuts as a badass Elizabeth Bennet. This may just work.

Portman is currently onscreen in Jim Sheridan's "Brothers," in which she delivers a fantastic performance. She has "Hesher," "Your Highness" and "Black Swan" coming up. She will also appear in "Thor."
