A brand-new teaser trailer for Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin's upcoming 3D-animated family flick "Despicable Me" has popped up on the Web, and you can take a look at it right after the jump.
Steve Carell voices Gru, an evil man who plans to steal the moon. While his evil mother encourages him to execute his plan, Gru runs into trouble when he unexpectedly encounters three orphan girls.
This special preview focuses on Gru's rivarly with Vector, another villain. Sadly, I'm not at all impressed with this footage. I did enjoy the first teaser trailer, but this one seriously disappoints.
I'm especially disappointed in the look of Gru. Steve Carell definitely has what it takes to do great voice work, but Gru just doesn't look interesting to me in any way. None of this looks impressive, really.
Jason Segel, Kristen Wiig, Will Arnett, Danny McBride, Russell Brand, Jemaine Clement, Jack McBrayer and Julie Andrews are also part of the voice cast.
"Despicable Me" opens in theaters July 9, 2010. Let me know below what you think of this one.
