Hollywood casting update: Sigourney Weaver joins 'Cedar Rapids;' Butler considers 'Coriolanus'

Lots of casting news this week, and here is a short summary of who will star in what soon:
• Sigourney Weaver and Alia Shawkat are joining John C. Reilly, Ed Helms and Anne Heche in Miguel Arteta's comedy "Cedar Rapids," about man (Helms) sent to represent his company and save his colleagues' jobs at a regional insurance conference in Cedar Rapids. (Variety)
• Gerard Butler ("Law Abiding Citizen") is in talks to join Ralph Fiennes' directorial debut "Coriolanus," an adaptation of William Shakespeare's Roman tragedy. Butler would play Tullus Aufidius, commander of the Volscian army. Also on board: Fiennes, William Hurt, Vanessa Redgrave and Jessica Chastain. (THR)
• Helen Mirren ("State of Play") has signed on to star alongside Morgan Freeman and Bruce Willis in Robert Schwentke's thriller "Red," based on the comic by WildStorm/DC. The story follows an ex-black-ops CIA agent whose life changes when an assassin shows up to kill him. (Variety)
• Owen Wilson ("Fantastic Mr. Fox") is all set to do voice work in Tom Dey's "Marmaduke," based on the comic strip by Brad Anderson and Phil Leeming. The film, a mix of live-action and CGI, follows a family whose dog creates big chaos everywhere they go. Judy Greer, Lee Pace and William H. Macy co-star (THR)
• Keir Gilchrist ("United States of Tara") has scored a role in Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's upcoming coming-of-age drama "It's Kind of a Funny Story," which also stars Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts and Viola Davis. Story follows a teenager who checks into a mental institution and ends up in the adult ward. (THR)
• Alan Cumming is joining Kristen Bell, Christina Aguilera, Cher and Stanley Tucci in Steve Antin's upcoming musical "Burlesque," about a small-town girl who finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club. Cumming plays the club's gender-bending host, says Variety.
