Tommy Lee Jones has officially left "The Lincoln Lawyer," Lakeshore Entertainment's thriller he was originally attached to direct and star in. Matthew McConaughey is still on board as the lead character.
Variety says Jones dropped the project over creative differences on the script. John Romano wrote the screenplay, and Lakeshore plans to start production next spring. The hunt for a new director is on.
The film follows a Los Angeles lawyer (McConaughey) who works out of the back of his Lincoln and picks up his biggest case yet when he agrees to defend a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder.
As for Jones, he recently starred in "In the Valley of Elah." He has John Wells' "The Company Men" coming up soon. By the way, in case you didn't know, Jones totally delivers the goods.
