In case you missed it: 'Saw VII 3D' date set

A quick peek at the IMDb page for Twisted Pictures' next "Saw" film "Saw VII 3D" shows David Hackl's film will open in theaters Oct. 22, 2010. And yes, as the title suggests, it will be shot and released in 3D.
Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton return to write the seventh installment in the horror series. As you may have heard already, an eighth film will also happen. In fact, we'll "Saw" films as long as they make money.
Now, "Saw VI," the latest sequel, really tanked at the box office (the total currently stands at $27 million domestically), and Lionsgate recently blamed it on "Paranormal Activity." What a lame excuse.
So yeah, look for more Jigsaw and co. next year... and the one after that... and maybe even the one after...

It's amazing how you tell us to be nice to everybody with our comments when your own comments aren't nice to Saw 6 and its film-makers! How paranormal!
I say...Bring Saw 7 on!
You obviously did not get any of it. The comment rules clearly state to be nice as in 'don't personally attack other USERS and refrain from using big profanities.' I encourage you to either praise or tear films apart, just don't do it in an overly aggressive way. Maybe that makes it clearer, no?
Couple of points:
-The worldwide total for Saw VI is now around $50 million. Yep, it tanked in comparison to other entries in the series, but with a total production budget of $11million, Saw VI is still a financial success.Plus, word of mouth about the quality of this particular Saw film will probably lead to a successful DVD release (see next paragraph)
- Saw VI is the highest rated of the films since the original. A quick check of Rotten Tomatoes will show you that it's Tomameter is just about even with that of "Saw". The reduced box office was (at least in part) a backlash from part V, which put a lot of people off. At the end of the day though, this is widely regarded by horror fans as a really good horror film.
- Finally, apparently the plans have changed. According to a screenwriter Patrick Melton in an interview on Demon FM, Saw VII will indeed be the final film. He has left a few posts recently on the connected Saw themed website House of Jigsaw further confirming that the next film is being written as an 'endgame" to the series. Given that most of the fans consider Saw VI to be the best of the series (or at least the best of the sequels), don't be surprised if the numbers are back up for the last film.
-What happen with Dr. Gordon character???? Someday someone can tell us?
