The first teaser trailer for Matthew Vaughn's upcoming superhero action comedy "Kick-Ass" has hit the Web, and although it doesn't show us too much, it sure gets me even more excited about the film.

The film follows a boring high school student (played by Aaron Johnson) who attempts to become a real-life superhero named Kick-Ass but runs into several troubles because of his poor physique.

The whole thing is based on the comics by Mark Millar, and this first teaser delivers some decent laughs. Okay, it takes a while until it really introduces its story, but it sure made me curious enough.

Footage from the film was shown at Comic-Con earlier this year, and the response was great, apparently. Co-starring are Nicholas Cage, Lyndsy Fonseca, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

"Kick-Ass" will start kicking butt in theaters April 16, 2010. As for Vaughn, he also helmed "Stardust" and the amazing crime drama "Layer Cake."
