Weinstein Co. pushes back 'Nine' musical

I know it's not that tragic and I will definitely survive, but the Weinstein Co. just keeps pushing back films I am really dying to see. The latest film to get a new release date: Rob Marshall's musical "Nine."
"Nine" is one of only a few films I am really looking forward to this season, but it won't open on Nov. 25, 2009 anymore, because TWC pushed it to Dec. 18 for a limited opening and Dec. 25 for an expansion.
That means Christmas Day will be even busier. The reason for the move is that TWC's "The Road," which itself has seen tons of release date changes, is also set for a November 25 release.
"Nine" now competes with "Avatar" on December 18, and with "Sherlock Holmes," "It's Complicated" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel" on December 25.
In the big-screen adaptation of the Broadway show, Daniel Day-Lewis jumps into the role of Guido Contini, a high-profile director struggling to satisfy all the women in his life, including his wife and mistress.
Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Marion Cotillard, Fergie, Kate Hudson and Sophia Loren co-star.
