Ridley Scott wants Angelina Jolie in 'Gucci'

Angelina Jolie

Ridley Scott is chatting up Angelina Jolie to star in "Gucci," Fox 2000's upcoming murder drama about the Gucci fashion dynasty. Plans are to get the film rolling into production as early as next year.

Variety reports Jolie is in talks to play Patrizia Reggiano, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison for plotting the murder of ex-husband Maurizio Gucci. He was shot to death in front of his apartment in 1995.

The script is not locked yet, and Fox 2000 is looking for a new screenwriter to rewrite the film. Scott is also looking for an actor for the Gucci role, and the trade says he approached Leonardo DiCaprio.

Jolie will soon be seen in "Salt," and she recently replaced Charlize Theron in "The Tourist." Jolie also teamed with Fox for an adaptation of Patricia Cornwell's book series on medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta.

As for Scott, he's got "Robin Hood" coming soon. He's producing "The A-Team" and "Welcome to the Rileys," and he also has "Monopoly" and "Child 44" in development.

I guess Brad will retire to take care of the kids, then!

And why not? Those are his kids, that he wanted so much as well, and he shouldn't use them for decoration solely.
But, don't worry. Brad said that she has an amazing energy that inspires him and is capable of balancing it all.
Just recently, the director of Salt, Noyce, said that he was amazed how professional she was at work,
while her trailer was constantly full of little children!
Angelina is a fantastic actress, highly critically acclaimed, and obviously in demand.
It certainly looks like Brad is proud of her and that she has his full support, and vice versa.
GOOD FOR THEM.
