George Clooney in Up in the Air

A brand-new trailer for Jason Reitman's upcoming drama "Up in the Air" has landed, and I encourage you to check it out after the jump. It's a beautiful preview that makes me want to see this one asap.

The film follows George Clooney as a corporate downsizing expert who helps large companies fire their executives and spends most of his time flying to collect a bunch of frequent-flyer miles.

What he doesn't seem to be capable of doing is maintain a human connection, as you can see in the trailer below. Vera Farmiga, Anna Kendrick, Jason Bateman and J.K. Simmons co-star in the film.

In related news, "Up in the Air" will now open Dec. 4, 2009. The film was set to open earlier, but Clooney also has "The Men Who Stare at Goats" coming in November. Thus, Paramount decided to delay "Air" a couple of weeks.

Yep, everybody wants Clooney, but they don't want two movies with him open within two weeks. Don't forget: Clooney's voice will also soon be heard in Wes Anderson's "Fantastic Mr. Fox." It's truly a Clooney end of the year, and that's fine with me.
