Shutter Island trailer hits

A new trailer for Martin Scorsese's upcoming mystery thriller "Shutter Island" has officially hit the Web, and it's just as good as its predecessor. It's similar, but it also features a bit of new footage. Check it out below.

In the film, two marshals are sent to a remote, barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.

"Shutter Island" is based on the novel by Dennis Lehane and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Michelle Williams, Patricia Clarkson, Max von Sydow and Jackie Earle Haley.

As I'm sure you've heard already, the film has been pushed back to Feb. 19, 2010, and this for economic reasons, according to Paramount. Of course, that means it will miss this year's awards season.

Anyway, enjoy this new creepy trailer. At least I now have something to look forward to next February.
