Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to direct and co-star alongside Matthew McConaughey in Lakeshore Entertainment's "The Lincoln Lawyer," a thriller based on the novel by Michael Connolly.
The story sounds pretty cool. The film follows a Los Angeles lawyer who works out of the back of his Lincoln and picks up his biggest case yet when he agrees to defend a Beverly Hills playboy accused of murder.
The Hollywood Reporter says McConaughey plays Mickey Haller, the lawyer. The trade says it's unknown at this stage what character Jones would play. John Romano wrote the script.
This is not Jones' first directorial effort. He already helmed 2005's "The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada," a film I really enjoyed. Jones recently starred in "In the Valley of Elah."
