In David S. Goyer's latest horror flick "The Unborn," Odette Yustman stars as a young woman who's haunted by a spirit that wants to be born right now. Sounds quite silly. Here's what some online critics have to say about the film, which also stars Meagan Good, Gary Oldman and Cam Gigandet:
• Peter Martin at Cinematical: "Without any distractions -- like memorable characters, stirring dramatic conflicts, or even cheap thrills -- we're obligated to note the yawning holes in the plot and perplexing gaps in logic."
• JimmyO at Joblo: "If feels like fragments of several movies placed together with some odd editing and a way too familiar feel."
• Ron Henriques at LatinoReview: "Still, it looks like Goyer put some thought into the overall work as a whole and for a horror flick that can at times be subtle, the picture ain't all that bad."
• FilmSchoolRejects' Rob Hunter: "Bottom line, there’s nothing new or interesting here. Scary kids? Been done a million times before, usually better. Ditto the nightmares, the exorcism, etc."
