You've all heard the rumors about Taylor Lautner not being asked to return as Jacob Black in "New Moon," right?

Well, according to Variety, Lautner will be back for the sequel to last year's success hit "Twilight."

I have not read Stephenie Meyer's novels, but I'm told that Jacob guy plays a central figure in "New Moon."

Lautner joins the already cast Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Chris Weitz is directing the flick for Summit Entertainment.

As for the rumors about Lautner, Weitz said he's all ready and "emotionally right" for the role. So there you go Taylor fans, you'll have him back.

"New Moon" is set for release Nov. 20, 2009. Hey, that means they better start shooting that thing soon.
