Channing Tatum joins Warner's 'Brotherhood'

Channing Tatum is set to star in the big-screen adaptation of David Morrell's novel "The Brotherhood of the Rose."

Variety reports Dito Montiel will write and direct the project for Warner Bros. Adam Cozad wrote an earlier draft.

The story follows two orphans who become targets themselves after being raised by a CIA operative to become assassins.

Tatum recently starred in "Stop-Loss." He has a number of projects awaiting release, including "Fighting," "Dear John" and "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra."

Montiel's credits inclue "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints." Coincidentally, he also directed Tatum's upcoming "Fighting."
