Hilary Duff boards new 'Bonnie and Clyde' flick
Could this be the worst idea ever? Yep, you read right. Hilary Duff and Kevin Zegers have boarded Tonya S. Holly's upcoming indie flick "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde."
According to Variety, the film is not a remake but rather a new version of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow's story. Holly apparently got the idea for the project while reading old newspaper articles about the gangster pair.
No specific plot details have been announced yet, but Holly also wrote ths script for the film, which the trade says will shoot in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.
Duff hasen't really done anything major on the big screen recently. She was last seen in "War, Inc.," and some of her upcoming projects include "Safety Glass" and "Stay Cool."
As for Zegers, his credits include "Dawn of the Dead," "Transamerica" and "Zoom."
Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway starred in the original "Bonnie and Clyde," which opened in 1967 and took home two Oscars.

Some movies just shouldn't be remade and this is one of them. (And if it isn't a remake how about instead of making the story of Bonnie and Clyde do a whole different movie and just use the same format?) As far as HD as Bonnie sorry so not believeable...Lizzie Mcguire tooting a gun yeah right!
I think it's a great idea with HD as Bonnie... who would you have instead? Britney?
This is a big ol' joke. LOL. I can think of one word, FAILURE. I am the grandson of Percy Methvin, 3rd cousin of Henry Methvin. I am a writer. I have the real story. Two words : copyright protection. Good luck with your "story" of bonnie and clyde.
I read the book Go Down Together: The True, Untold Story of Bonnie and Clyde by Jeff Guinn. There definitely needs to be another movie on this story. The 1967 version was a big Hollywood joke. Not nearly accurate as I doubt this version will be either. But it sounds like at least an effort to develop more of the characters' background and the background of the times, i.e. the Depression. No comment on Hillary Duff as Bonnie. Although a little old for it, Naomi Watts would be great or Scarlett Johannson. Guess they would cost too much though.
